Since 2007 the Faculty of Law’s Mooting Programme has really blossomed. Our teams have managed to win both domestic and International awards and accolades, for example in 2007, 2009 and 2011 our teams won the overall best prize at the Pan-African Moot Court Competition featuring 13 other universities in Arusha, Tanzania. In November 2010 the UZ Team who then were the defending champions became the first runners-up having successfully competed against a number of teams on their way to the finals. The Moot programme is supervised by some of the country’s best known advocates in conjunction with academics from the Faculty itself.
